Basketball Scholarships

Griffith College Basketball Scholarships

Every year Griffith College awards scholarships to students who show an interest in our courses and can demonstrate an ability for playing at a high level in basketball.

The scholarship is open to all current Leaving Certificate students, those studying on a degree programme in another college and those who have completed a degree programme and seeking to do a masters. Leaving Certificate students must be completing their exams in June 2017. Each scholarship will be awarded for a period of one year but may be renewed annually for a maximum period of three years. The scholarship covers the cost of course fees for each academic year. It does NOT include accommodation, living or travel expenses which the student would need to organise themselves. It is important that the applicant takes this into consideration when applying for the scholarship.. Those seeking a scholarship will need to meet all academic criteria as well has having reached a high level of participation within basketball. The successful applicants must become full-time registered students of Griffith College for the 2017/2018 academic year (ie part-time students are not legible for scholarships). Successful candidates will be those who have met the required academic and sporting standard but who also show an interest in the organization of Griffith Basketball Club. Griffith College expects its scholars to be active on college campus and to aid the Students’ Union where necessary. To apply for a sports scholarship for the 2017-2018 academic year please send a completed application form along with a passport photo and two references relating to your sport by email to: basketball@griffith.ie
